Marc Jacoby is an Assistant Professor at West Chester University in Pennsylvania and is the technology specialist for music education. Over a 20 year career in marching percussion, he wrote pit ensemble music for many top drum corps including the Blue Devils, Glassmen, Crossmen, Cadets, and the 1988 DCI Champion Madison Scouts. In 2005, Mark Wessels Publications released a play-along CD of Jacoby’s percussion ensemble arrangements that accompany the method book, A Fresh Approach to Mallet Percussion.
Marc also runs Roxmedia, an educational software company. In addition to releasing their own CD-ROM titles, they have developed software for Yamaha, PlayinTime Productions, Rowloff Productions, and Mark Wessels Publications.
Marc Jacoby is an artist/clinician for Yamaha and Vic Firth, Sibelius Ambassador, M-Audio M-Powered Educator, and is on the Educational Advisory Committee for Latin Percussion. He is currently completing a Ph.D. in Music Education at Northwestern University.
